The Merlin EX™ is one of the latest additions to the monocular range. It offers a high grade Gen 1 image intensifier tube in a compact, lightweight and partially rubber armored bodyshell.
The Merlin EX™ can also be fitted with an optional Headmount so that it can be used as a hands-free night vision goggle (NVG).

Latest accessory options include an IR Adaptor, so that optional 75mW and 150mW high power IR Illuminators can be attached. A choice of two Day Scope Adaptors is also available, the HDSA™ (Hinged Day Scope Adaptor) and DSA™ (Day Scope Adaptor), so that the unit can be attached to a day telescopic sight thus turning it in to a night vision unit.

The Merlin EX™ has a 1.0x Magnification and a 40° FOV. It has a 26mm f1.4 Lens and has an IR built into the side of the unit.

The Merlin EX™ uses two LR1/E90 batteries (not included).
